What will be

The clouds had gathered yet again, bunching together to cast a dark eerie atmosphere upon the ground below, catching the attention of the black winged wolf. She huffed slightly, her tail bristling, the passing breeze ruffling her fur and allowing her to measure the wind direction, as well as speed. She knew that for this next stretch she had to take off with precision, no blunders, no room for mistake. It was here, as she stared out at the canopy of greys and blacks, above the sound the wind whipping through the nearby trees and buildings, she heard the rustle of car tires on grass. The V8 engine rumbled very softly, almost silent, but still enough for the young she wolf to pick up. She closed her eyes a little, narrowing them as she saw the blended colours mesh together ahead of her, aware of the car stopping more behind her. 
"The weather's not right" She simply said, bowing her head a little. The car sighed behind her.
"Senka.... The race has been on hold for three days now..... They need continue it" Lightning started, seeing the wolf before him turn her head toward him.
"I'm understanding of that, but the conditions are NOT right! I'm not sure how they expect us to race like this!" Senka snapped, her mood clear to see. Her head snapped up slightly as she turned around, catching sight of her young apprentice, Shadow, his blue and black fur catching in the wind as he ran along after one of the older racers. She bent her head down to Lightnings level more, her blue eyes bearing into his.
"What kind of example do we set to the younger generations if we allow ourselves to be pushed into things like this...." She hissed, her eyes darting back to the small juvenile, a heavy flap of wings sounding behind them as Senka raised her head. 
"It sets no example because we have to do as we're told.... And not even your father can change that Senka" A voice sounded behind them, causing Senka to sigh a little.
"I know Cray.... I just dont think it's RIGHT! Look at that!!" Senka replied, notioning with her muzzle to the sky, watching as Cray's gaze followed. 
"As long as you keep your altitude low, it'll be fine. No more high flying" Lightning advised, watching the two wolves intently. The clackson rang across the landscape, perking up the attention of the racers in the area, Senka's frown deepening. 
"You need to go...." Lightning said gently, causing Senka to walk forward abruptly, Cray's expression unhappy aswell, as she heard the clackson ring again. 
"I'm not happy about it.... But what will be, will be"
