Senka groaned a little, blinking several times before her eyes come to focus. Lightning's voice sounded again through the ear piece.

"Oh Thank goodness! Senka! Can you hear me???" Senka shook her head, getting a bout of dizziness, before looking to the track. She was laying on the side, the series of wolves that had been behind her were just racing past. Senka frowned. She must have been knocked out for a few seconds as she made contact with the floor. The side of her face burned, as did her shoulder, though she paid no attention to it. When Lightning's voice sounded again, Senka squeezed her eyes shut and blinked again.

"Yeah yeah, i'm fine!" Senka said, snarling slightly as she heaved herself up shakily onto her legs. She still had a race to run, this was her first one! She strained to get up as Lightning continued to shout his disapproval at her. She blanked his voice out and stood up, staggering forward. The crowd around her cheered as she stepped forward, at first hobbling. Her shoulder started to burn again but she paid it no heed. As she moved forward, she blanked out the pain more and more, before beginning to trot, lope and finally run forward. Her joints ached from the impact and her head pounded, Lightning was still telling her to get back to where he was right this instant but again she blanked it out and ran forward. Everything hurt, her head thumped. She growled and barked, shaking her head and frowning, looking at the wolf that was trailing behind, and narrowing her eyes. She began to get faster and faster, ignoring the pain that ripped through her face. She slowly caught up to the last wolf, her paws striking the ground, an anger toward Malik burning deep in her chest. She started to claw her way round the small blue wolf that was clearly beginning to struggle, and glanced a look at him as she drew up next to him. He looked younger than she was, and he glanced up at her, his puppy-ish emerald eyes fixed on her blue ones. She heard him growl slightly as he panted forward, looking like he was ready to give up, but had a determined pace about him.

"I can do this!" He yapped, straining forward as he did so. Senka smiled at him.

"Yes, you can! Don't give up!! We can do this together!!" Senka called to him, watching the other wolves far in front of them. The look on the wolf's face lit up and nodded to her, a determined look replacing the defeated one on his face. He sped up with her and they ran forward, before he looked up at her again.

"Minus!" He said to her, as she looked at him and smiled again.

"Senka!" She called back, swinging her tail. As they approached the other wolves in front of them, the dirt from the other wolves flew up, hitting them in the face. Senka's face started to hurt again. Something had clearly happened when she had hit the floor, but she didn't know what. All she knew was that it stung. They both made their way forward, passing the wolf ahead of them, avoiding the shoves and snaps from the wolves around them. Senka growled as she ran forward, hearings Doc's voice crackle over the radio.

"I don't know what your game is Senka, I've just had to wrestle Lightning for the headset, he's not happy! You're not looking good Senka, as you fell, your left side hit the floor, and you skid along the floor as you were hit. You're bleeding! You need to come in!" Doc instructed, using his stern voice. Senka grimaced as he described what had happened to her. She pinned her ears back and decided to continue, much to Doc's annoyance.

"SENKA!" He growled through the ear piece.

"I've GOT THIS!" Senka half shouted back.

"This is my first race, im not just gonna give up!!" Senka added, pushing herself forward again, aware of Minus just at her flank, keeping up with her pace for pace. Senka gained ground with every step, gaining upon the leaders. She caught up to Kadesh, who took a quick look at her and gasped.

"SENKA! You need to get seen!!!" Kadesh freaked, her tail waving around in alarm, her ears pinned back. Senka shook her head stubbornly.

"I'm going to finish this!!" Senka barked back, much to Kadesh's surprise. Kadesh frowned, and scowled her disapproval. Senka smiled a little, though it hurt to do so, and pulled forward once again. It was then, two corners from the finish line, Senka pulled up next to Malik, who did a double take at her.

"Well well well!! Look who decided to show up! Little ol' Shrimp!! How was your trip? You get me a gift?" Malik laughed cruelly, as Senka scowled. She snarled at him, but continued to look forward, seeing the finish line ahead of her. It was then that her head started to throb again, more than before. This kind of pain was unbearable, it seemed. Senka's head sucked into her chest as she yapped out in pain. Malik laughed again as he then moved over to push her over with his weight, only to be met with another force. Feyra darted out from nowhere, taking Malik off his feet for a moment, before he regained himself, leaping forward. He snarled, baring his fangs and running toward her, before another yellow figure barged into him, this time in the shape of Chester. Chester snarled at him.

"Enough Malik! Just finish the damn race!" Chester barked at him. Feyra barked out too, giving a concerned look to Senka, who ran along beside her. Malik studied Chester for a moment before focusing ahead, only to see that he was to late. Serenita crossed the finish line, shooting a glance at him as she passed, her tail high in the air. Malik growled as he launched himself forward, before Senka saw her chance. She pushed her self forward again, harder than ever, the pain threatening to consume her, but her determination to beat Malik just overcome the pain. She drew level with him and finally, with one final surge of energy, leapt forward, giving one large leap to cross the finish line.

The crowd erupted as she crossed before him, the others following every quickly behind her. As Senka landed, the pain in her face increased, and she growled again, her eyes suddenly closing, not looking at where her paws where going. She landed funny on her front paws, and tumbled over and over, the pain in her shoulder increasing. She curled up slightly, taking the brunt of the pain, and yapping out, her ear piece falling out. She stay curled up, even when she felt noses around her, poking around her, seeing if she was ok. She recognized the scents of Feyra and Kadesh, not leaving her side since they crossed the finish line.

"Senka, you need to get up, we need to take you to the medics tent!" Feyra barked at her, her eyes full of concern. Senka peered up just as Minus approached, sticking his nose into her neck fur.

"You need to get up, you can do this!" He encouraged, his eyes glistening. Senka looked at him and gave him a faint smile, seeing Shiva and Zorru watching on, side by side. A metallic smell hit her nose as she then saw Lightning and Doc speed up the track toward her, dust flying everywhere. The wolves around her scattered slightly, making room for the cars as they prepared to take her to the medics tent. It was a matter of minutes until she was there, everything beginning to pass in a blur. She felt faint and short of breath at some point and started coming out in hot and cold flushes. She shivered as she opened her eyes, Lightning's concerned eyes meeting her own. Doc checked her over, before putting cream that stung onto her face and shoulder.

"Damn Malik, he's gonna pay!" Zorru growled, pacing into the tent. Senka looked at him as he entered, another faint smile, before closing her eyes. She waited until Doc had finished before opening her eyes again, seeing more wolves in the tent. Lightning stay glued to her side, but watched Doc carefully.

"The wounds will heal, she's lucky. Just don't wait to get medical attention again, do you hear?" Doc scolded Senka, who looked to the floor and nodded. Minus suddenly appeared by her side, his tail tucked in, nuzzling her cheek. Senka closed her eye as he did so, her face still stinging a little. He whimpered slightly as another wolf approached her. She looked up to see a purple wolf looking at her. Senka frowned a little, not knowing who this wolf was.

"I'm Plus, Minus's sister. I just wanted to thank you for encouraging him out there. You didn't have to" She said, sitting down some way away. Senka watched her for a moment before Minus started nuzzling her again. Senka saw the Kadesh, Feyra and Serenita came in together and sat around her, watching her.

"How you doing Sen?" Kadesh asked, curling up just behind her, nuzzling into her. Senka whine slightly, feeling tiredness take over. It was just before she slipped into a sleep that she saw Chester and Zorru also sit in front, and although she wasn't 100% sure, she swore she glimpsed Shiva.

Senka jumped awake, bolting her head up, breathing heavily. She felt a strange sense of panic, though couldn't remember the dream that had made her feel this way. She shivered, shaking her fur, looking around her. Most of the wolves had gone. Minus still stuck to her side, and Feyra and Kadesh were curled up in front of her, Lightning asleep by her side, twitching slightly in his own dream infused sleep. Senka sighed before stretching her front legs, and getting slowly to her feet.

She padded gently around the sleeping forms before silently slipping from the tent. She breathed in the cool night air and breathed out, happy to be outside again. Her head felt better and her shoulder didn't burn as much. She peered around, her eyes growing accustomed to the darkness. She then spotted some shadows dancing around on some of the outhouses in the distance, darting around on certain buildings and then vanishing again. Senka frowned, before loping over to the buildings.

There was a small gap that she was able to get through that seemed to lead to a small courtyard, the shadows hiding her as she peered round the corner. She sniffed the air, not smelling anyone familiar, but then again, she hadn't really been paying attention to the wolves scents before now. It was then, she caught sight of Shiva, and she was pacing around a form that was huddled up in the middle of the floor. Senka frowned and crawled forward, not being able to see what the shape was. It wasn't until the form lifted its head that she recognized it as.... Malik?!??! Senka frowned again but made no attempt to move. Shiva was pacing around him, baring her teeth. It was then that she spoke, her voice harsh and cold.

"SO???" She snapped, her tail waving high. Malik made some strangled noise as she made yet another full circle around him.

"I SAID, so you think its funny to beat up kids huh??" Shiva snarled, another growl ripping through her throat. Malik rose to his feet slowly, his on growl echoing that of hers.

"Oh, you think you're so noble? I didn't see you defending her!" Malik grinned. Shiva snarled again, raising her paw and slashing him across the face, before pushing her weight into him and pushing him down to the floor, her paws on his throat.

"You touch her again, and i swear to all that is holy, you WILL regret it!" Shiva snarled again, putting more and more weight behind her paws, causing Malik to struggle. Shiva then leapt off, letting Malik breathe again, causing him to cough and splutter, still lying on the floor. Shiva then made her way out the opposite way to where Senka lay hidden. Malik stay where he was for a moment, before again getting to his feet and slowly following her out. Senka waited a few minutes before loping over to where they vanished through. She then made her way back outside and saw that Shiva was at the starting line, just watching the track ahead of her.

Senka watched her, half expecting her to run. When she didn't Senka walked forward, making it clear she was there. Shiva saw her approach, and glanced at her, but made no attempt to communicate, only continued to stare out at the track. Senka didn't say anything to start with, only stood next to her and she too looked out at the track. It was after a few minutes that Senka broke the silence.

"You didn't have to do that you know" Senka said, looking up at the tan coloured wolf. Shiva stared ahead for a moment, but sighed slightly.

"He didn't have to do what he did, but that didn't stop him" Shiva simply replied. Senka looked at her again.

"But you didn't have to defend me" Senka added. Shiva shrugged slightly.

"It's not right that he should injure someone who is weaker then him, it's not morally right. I didn't do it for you, i did it for the fact that he needs to be taught a lesson" Shiva said, her tail waving in the breeze slightly. Senka nodded, before looking to the floor and peering back at the tent that Lightning and her friends slept in. She stood for a few seconds before turning and pacing away. She peered round her shoulder as she walked away.

"Thank you anyway" Senka added, before loping her way back to the tent. Shiva watched her leave, and waited until Senka had disappeared completely, before smiling to herself, finally alone on the dusty track. As Senka slipped back in, she saw that Lightning was awake and watched her come in, focusing on her with a concerned expression.

"You ok?" He asked quietly, as she paced over and settled back into the wolf pile that was Feyra, Kadesh and Minus.

"Yeah, I'm sorry for earlier, i just...... knew i could do it" Senka responded, looking up at Lightning. He smiled.

"Well, you certainly didn't get your stubborn streak from me!!" He retorted, causing Senka to laugh.

"Sure, totally not!! I'm not even meant to be a racer!!" Senka added sarcastically. She put her head on Feyra's back, questioning herself for a moment.

"Do you know anything of my parents?" Senka asked suddenly, causing Lightning to stiffen. SHe noticed his edginess and got slightly nervous.

"Why do you ask?" He responded, looking down at her.

"I......I dont know who i am, I don't know who i'm meant to be!" Senka replied, looking down at her friends.

"Senka and Feyra have always known who they are. It's clear im not great at racing without getting injured, i'm not a car, i'm not..... I'm not anything....." Senka pondered sadly, causing Lightning to look at her with a sad expression.

"I'm afraid i know nothing of your parents, but i do know that you are my daughter, and you are Senka" Lightning smiled at her, trying to make her feel better. She smiled at him back, but it didn't feel genuine. She wanted to know why she wasn't raised by her parents. What she didn't realize was that the answer to her question lay on the very hazardous path that lie ahead of her.

White light was meant to be dramatic. Didn't work. It is now 12.55 AM and im still trying to do this. Go meeeeeee
